From the first contact by phone to set an appointment for an estimate through the last bit of work on site, the staff were phenomenal! Dario met with me to provide an estimate. He communicated that we would have this work done right the first time and would make sure that we are happy with the final product. We sure were! We have a large backyard that we wanted to replace our old wooden fence with a new aluminum fence. Even with a chain saw and an auger breaking, they still completed the job in two days after hand digging most of the post holes! Uriel and Martin installed most of the fence on the second day. I can't say enough good things about this crew and company. They will not let you down, in fact they will make you glad that you chose them to do the work.

I couldn't be happier with my new fence! The team was professional from start to finish: fast, efficient, and respectful of my property. The quality of the work is excellent, and the price was very reasonable compared to other quotes I received. I highly recommend Diamond Fence to anyone looking for great service and beautiful results!

Dario was very good in communication while his team was doing the installation. Great experience for our new home to have the fence installed by their team. We went with Diamond Fence because Johnny, the estimator, responded promptly and did everything he said he would in the time frame he promised. The installers Manny and Daniel were stellar in the installation of the fence. They did an excellent job, completed all the work in an expedient and thorough manner. They left the yard and alley spotless. I highly recommend Diamond Fence.

Dario and the team did excellent work. Very communicative, easy to work with, and flexible with some customizations that we needed. We required a custom built gate for our driveway which they built completely custom to our requests and installed. Minor adjustments were needed weeks later and they were very quick to respond and come back to ensure everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend their work.

Working with Diamond Fence and Dario was nothing short of a great experience from start to finish! Great work, all of which was done in a reasonable time frame but didn't cut corners. It's exactly what my wife and I wanted and Dario had great communication from start to finish. They kept our yard clean during the install process and after as well. Why homeowners choose Diamond Fence

You meet the owner, not a call center.

Diamond Fence is owned and run by Dario Luna, who has spent over 10 years installing fences across the northwest suburbs, including years with large Illinois fence companies. You deal with the owner’s own team at every step, and the crew that sets the first post is the same crew that walks the finished fence with you. And there is no showroom for you to pay for.

Owner-run, one crew

You deal with the owner’s own team, not a call center, and one crew stays responsible from first stake to final walkthrough.

Posts set below the frost line

Set in concrete roughly 42 inches deep, as standard practice, so freeze and thaw cycles do not heave them.

Permits, HOA packet and utility marking

We pull the village permit where required, prepare the HOA submittal and have buried utility lines marked before we dig.

Fast, tidy installs

Most yards take one to two days. We clean up and haul away the debris, and can remove your old fence too.

Real choice of styles and colors

Six vinyl colors, fifteen wood styles, puppy pickets for aluminum and privacy slats for chain-link.

Good to know

Questions we hear before every estimate

How long does the whole process take?

For most projects, the full process from your first contact to a finished, installed fence usually runs about 3 to 4 weeks. After we take on-site measurements, your written quote is typically ready about one day later. The remaining time covers ordering materials, utility locating through JULIE, any required permits and scheduling your installation. We will give you a clearer timeline for your specific project during the estimate.

How long does it take to install a fence?

Installation time varies based on the size and complexity of the project. Under 200 feet, 1-2 days. 200 feet and up, 2-3 days. Our team strives for efficiency while ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Do I need a permit for a fence in Palatine or the suburbs?

Often, yes. Many Chicago-area municipalities require a permit for fences, especially those near the street or over about 5 feet tall, and rules vary by suburb. Where your town requires one, we handle the permit paperwork as part of the project so everything meets local code and setback requirements. We will let you know what your specific municipality needs during your free estimate.

How do I get HOA approval for a fence?

Your architectural review committee will typically want a site plan, an elevation or product drawing, and the material, color, and height. We prepare those for your submittal. Plan on weeks rather than days.

How are the posts set so the fence stays straight?

As standard practice in the Chicago area, we set posts in concrete below the local frost line, roughly 42 inches deep. Setting below the frost line helps keep the fence stable through the region's freeze and thaw cycles so posts are far less likely to heave or lean over time. Combined with careful layout, this is what keeps your finished fence straight, solid and level for the long run.

Can you remove my old fence?

Yes. We can remove and haul away your existing fence as part of the project so you do not have to deal with disposal. The cost depends on the type of fence, how it was set, and site access. Just let us know during the estimate and we will include removal in your written quote so the price is clear up front.

Do you include gates, and how much do they add?

Yes. Walk and drive gates are built into your fence layout and hung with proper hinges and latches so they open, close, and latch correctly. Gates are quoted based on their size and hardware, so let us know how many you need and where you want them during the measurement, and we will include them in your written quote.
